Laurent Chehere is no ordinary photographer, nor is he content with photographing houses in their natural surroundings. Oh no, Laurent Chehere photographs houses and makes them fly! It sounds like a scene out of Pixar’s film Up just take away the balloons and swap animation for some seriously believable photo manipulation and ooooh isn’t the result impressive!?
Sporting washing lines, window flowers and even one burning building, the inspiration for the suburban town houses comes straight from the 19th and 20th arrondissement of Paris and considering his love of architecture and photography (and flying), you would think that combining them was a straightforward decision.
But it’s not just us getting excited by his clever example of photo manipulation. In June, Laurent won a prize for the project at Dock en Seine City of Fashion and Design and later in the year the Parisian gallery Galerie Paris-Beijing will be showcasing his work.
If only they were real…
